Cuba will host International Trade Fair Exposur 2023

 

CIENFUEGOS, Cuba, Nov 16 (ACN) The province of Cienfuegos will host the International Fair Exposur 2023, intended to boost foreign trade and import replacement in the region, according to provincial governor Alexandre Corona Quintero, who made the announcement in the context of the 38th Havana International Fair (FIHAV 2022).

Several Cuban and foreign companies attending FIHAV 2022 were invited to participate in this event organized in a southern province in central Cuba known to have increased the number of export items and production linkages and managed to replace imports and launched a number of local development projects.

“We have local enterprises engaged in exports through entities related to sugar production, agriculture, construction, the food industry and public health, among others, and our list of exportable goods and services is gradually growing,” Corona Quintero remarked. “The province aims to promote foreign investment with some 30 projects registered in the portfolio of opportunities.”

Antonio Luis Carricarte Corona, president of the Cuban Chamber of Commerce, pointed out that the province of Cienfuegos has many natural, cultural and historical attributes to offer, as well as great potential to contribute to health and wellness tourism.

Commissions from more than 60 countries and representatives of about 400 national enterprises attending FIHAV 2022 seek to establish new commercial links to give fresh impetus to the Cuban economy.
