HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 15 (ACN) Manuel Marrero Cruz, Cuban Prime Minister, attends today the opening of the 5th Investment Forum on the second day of the Havana International Fair (Fihav) 2022, at the Expocuba exhibition center.
Rodrigo Malmierca Diaz, minister of foreign trade and foreign investment, and Ana Teresa Igarza, director of the office of the Mariel Special Development Zone, and part of the diplomatic staff accredited in the country, are accompanying the head of government.
The event, which will last until tomorrow, includes four panels: one dedicated to the Mariel Special Development Zone, another one to the exchange with promotion centers and agencies, a third one referred to the Single Window for Foreign Investment and the facilities in the procedures, while the fourth one will deal with the opportunities to invest in the island for Cubans living abroad.
Representatives of Cuban foreign trade point out that the forum represents an excellent occasion to hold bilateral meetings between businessmen from the Caribbean nation and foreigners, as well as to share ideas on the challenges of the Caribbean island in attracting investments.
