
The facilities of the Cubanacan Hotel Group in Ciego de Avila(central Cuba) will benefit from the experiences of the 40th edition of the International Tourism Fair, FITCuba 2022, held recently at the Plaza America Convention Center in Varadero, Matanzas province.
Mariurka Martinez Aleman, delegate of that hotel chain in Ciego de Avila, emphasized that the participation in the event created business opportunities that will favor the development of the tourism sector in the country's main destinations, based on exchanges with travel agencies to promote foreign and domestic markets.
In line with the priorities established in the country, the Cubanacan hotel chain's facilities in that territory are involved in a computerization process to increase access to information and interaction with clients through digital platforms, she said.
This hotel chain, in the province of Ciego de Avila, has four facilities: Mojito, Tryp and Colonial Cayo Coco, located in the sun and beach destination Jardines del Rey; and the E. Rueda Hotel, in the main town and with opportunities to develop city tourism, Martinez Aleman recalled.
The Jardines del Rey hotels in the northern keys provide services to clients from Canada and Argentina; meanwhile, the Colonial, a precursor of tourism in this area, is undergoing a renovation process.
The executive highlighted the favorable behavior of the Russian market since the reopening -after the health crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic- and regretted the interruption of those operations when flights were suspended as a result of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
