HAVANA, Apr 12 (ACN) The Cultural Association "La Avellaneda", of Cubans living in southern Spain, thanked today on Twitter all those who were part of the new donation that the Proyecto Hormigas Solidarias (" Solidarity Ants Project") will send, on April 21, to the Institute of Hematology and Immunology and the Institute of Nephrology.
Thank you for everything and for so much, said the official account of the cultural association, which along with the association of Cubans living in Asturias "Cien por Cien Cubanos" (One Hundred Cubans) are carrying out the project Hormigas Solidarias.
The Cuban Consulate in Seville also expressed on the social media its gratitude to all the people who make it possible for the donations to reach the Caribbean country.
On January 30, the Hormigas Solidarias project traveled to Cuba with a donation of multiple materials (powdered milk, surgical masks, pens, musical instruments, disposable medical supplies, among others) destined for medical, educational and cultural institutions in Havana.
The initiative is an example of the solidarity effort of Cubans living in Spain, particularly in Asturias, and their willingness to support the Cuban people who are suffering the consequences of the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States.
