HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 17 (ACN) Cuban minister of foreign trade and foreign investment (MINCEX by its Spanish acronym), Rodrigo Malmierca, updated French businessmen on Cuba's economy and the opportunities for investment and trade operations with the island.
Malmierca said on Twitter that the work exchange was held on Thursday with Philippe Gautier, general director of MEDEF International, a private network created to promote the presence of French companies in the world, particularly in developing countries.
According to reports, the head of the MINCEX urged Gautier and MEDEF International to organize a business mission to Cuba.
Cuba and France recently signed several agreements for the development of bilateral cooperation projects for a total value of 31.2 million euros, during the 6th Cuba-France Economic and Trade Commission, based in Paris.
In December 2019 Malmierca and Gautier held a dialogue in that capital, and agreed to continue promoting the development of economic relations between Cuba and that European country.
