Cuba and France sign cooperation agreements in strategic fields



HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 14 (ACN) Cuba and France signed several agreements for the development of bilateral cooperation projects for a total value of 31.2 million euros, Cuban minister of foreign trade and foreign investment, Rodrigo Malmierca Diaz, announced today.

On Twitter, the Cuban minister said that the signing of the bilateral agreements took place during the 6th Cuba-France Economic and Trade Commission, held in Paris.

Malmierca Diaz co-chairs the event along with the French minister delegate for foreign trade and economic attractiveness, Franck Riester.

Tourism, energy, health, transportation, agricultural production and sustainable urban development were among the topics discussed during the 6th Cuba-France Economic and Trade Commission, Prensa Latina reported.

Meanwhile, the new cooperation tools include the approval of financial resources from the Countervalue Fund in the agricultural and hydraulic resources sectors of the island, two agreements from the fund for health and two with the French Development Agency (AFD by its French acronym) in agricultural matters.
