HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 13 (ACN) Following the visit to Cuba of Serguey Glasiev, Minister of Integration and Macroeconomics of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), a wide range of activities will take place this week to promote cooperation between Cuba and this body.
The agenda includes the second session of the Joint Commission with the EAEU and the signing of the Joint Collaboration Plan for the period 2021-2025.
Likewise, on December 14 and 15, the Seminar "Cuba and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU): cooperation in the context of the restructuring of the world economy" will be held.
The event will be attended by a broad representation of national organizations, institutions and entities that will meet with their regional counterparts to discuss issues of common interest based on mutual learning and academic debate.
The EAEU is made up of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, the Eurasian Economic Commission and the Eurasian Economic Court of the Union.
Cuba participated for the first time in the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, the supreme organ of the Union, on December 11, 2020, when it was granted Observer State status.
