HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 24 (ACN) The Ministry of Agriculture (MINAG), the Attorney General's Office and the National Organization of Collective Law Firms (ONBC) signed two agreements of coordination and cooperation in the field of Law.
MINAG reported on its website that the documents were signed by the Minister Ydael Pérez, the Attorney General Yamila Peña and ONBC president Lilia María Hernández.
The agreement with the Attorney General's Office intends to promote the qualification of managers and specialists of both organizations in matters of Agrarian Law and other legal and administrative matters, whereas the cooperation with the ONBC will promote legal consultancy services specially designed for agricultural cooperatives and focused on conflict resolution strategies.
The agreements stipulate that the heads of each institution will review their compliance on an annual basis.
During the ceremony, Ydael Pérez gave details to the jurists about the current situation of Cuban agriculture, the implementation of measures to boost agricultural production and the importance of providing adequate legal counsel.
