HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 17 (ACN) Lucy is the first app developed in Cuba to control personal and business finances that allows to manage, from the national context, the expenses and income of users and thus help them make decisions in that regard.
Speaking exclusively to the Cuban News Agency, Brian Mena Gomez, leader of the project, explained that the strength of the apk, for cell phones with Android operating system, is its adaptability to the local environment, which differentiates it from other international applications with the same purpose, but outside our reality by showing indicators that are not compatible with Cuba.
It allows us to follow the flow of our money, helps us make smarter spending decisions and saves us time by having our finances under control and organized for the benefit of the domestic economy.
According to Mena Gomez, this apk allows to keep track of operations in a simple way and does not require an Internet connection, thus ensuring the protection of user data.
It also makes it easier to detail personal income and classify it into salaries or sales, and to process expenses as if they were purchases, electricity or telephone payments, among others.
It is expected to add to that useful tool new business models, finance courses in digital book format, a version for the iOS operating system and a special one for Cuban self-employed workers.
Lucy was presented at the Forum of Entrepreneurs and Leaders in Information Technologies (FELTi 2021), which is being held virtually until Monday and gathers the different economic actors of new technologies in order to expose success stories, seek export opportunities and achieve unity between the private and state sectors of the Cuban software and computer products industry.
