Cuba and Benin Set up Trade Plan of Action



Havana, Feb 3rd (ACN) The Chambers of Commerce of Cuba and the Republic of Benin set up a plan for joint work on Wednesday to promote bilateral trade, investment and business forums.

The document was penned by the presidents of both chambers, Cuban Antonio Carricarte and Benin’s Arnauld Akakpo, according to the Cuban Foreign Ministry’s website.

Last November, the president of the western African nation met with Cuba’s ambassador to Benin on prospects for bilateral cooperation and the chance to hold a virtual business forum organized by the Cuban Foreign Trade and Investment ministry.

Also on Wednesday, the general secretary of Benin’s Technical, Professional and High School Education, Coffi Andre Adanyossi took part at the Pedagogy 2021 international forum organized as an online event by Cuba.

Benin and Cuba marked the 47th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations on February 1st.
