Havana, Jan 26 (ACN) A ranching company under the Cuban Agriculture Ministry made his first export of charcoal to Portugal, a product highly demanded in European countries.
Cuban Charcoal exports have progressively increased with prospects to become an important hard-currency source for the country’s economy, a major objective amidst the most recent US economic, financial and trade sanctions against the island.
Experts in the field agree that charcoal finds a growing market in Europe and Asia with largest imports being China, Japan, Spain, France and Italy which use the product in their industries, restaurants and other services to replace other fuel sources.
