Angolans and Cubans unite against the U.S. blockade

HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 28 (ACN) Angolans and Cubans condemned on Sunday the unilateral sanctions of the United States government against Cuba, and the unjust economic, commercial and financial blockade of the northern country against the island.

On this occasion, the demonstrations took place in the Luanda town of Kilamba, by bicycle through the streets of the city to comply with the regulations of physical distancing due to COVID-19's epidemic threat.
Representatives of the Cuban diplomatic mission, compatriots living in the province of Luanda and members of the association of Angolan ex-students who graduated from the Caribbean nation participated in the meeting.
In the midst of COVID-19, when the international community is advocating cooperation and solidarity, President Donald Trump's administration continues tightening the blockade, this week they announced new bans aimed at affecting tourism and Cuban exports of tobacco and rum, said Jorge Pantoja, a member of the Association of Cuban residents in Angola.
The coercive actions of the White House hinder the sustainable development of the Cuban people and cause enormous economic and human damage, the Cuban resident in Angola concluded.
