
HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 24 (ACN) Cuba presented the elements that support its request as an Observer State to the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), in a videoconference held by Deputy Prime Minister Ricardo Cabrisas with representatives of the Member States of that organization.
In statements to the press, at the end of the consultations with the EEU member states, Cabrisas pointed out the importance of working to identify the existing potentialities for a process of economic integration.
The senior Cuban official said that there are currently conditions to encourage cooperation, both in the commercial sphere and in services.
There is a historical record of good relations with countries from this region, and ties with one of them, Russia, are currently being strengthened, Cabrisas pointed out.
