CIEGO DE AVILA, Cuba, Sep 2 (ACN) The Agroindustrial Company Ceballos, in Ciego de Avila(central Cuba), has strengthened its export portfolio this year, not only with food but also with products such as aloe vera, which has curative properties in different ailments and is used in the cosmetics industry.
This plant is farmed in the natural plant farm Che Guevara, of Agroindustrial Ceballos, which by its results ranks as the most outstanding of its kind in the country, category granted in 2019 by the group of the National Program of Medicinal Plants.
The farm, created in 1995, has 36 hectares, where there are plantations of linden, chamomile, marigold, aloe, oregano, Japanese mint, mint lemons, kidney tea, ginger, wall, among others.
They also produce Turmeric, Jamaica Flower and Stevia, which are alternative treatments for many diseases.
Besides, with its by-products they supply the tourist industry, in this case with lemons and guavas, because from both trees they give the leaves to the Program, and they market the fruits, through the Select Fruit Company, in hotels and the Mercahostal that guarantees products to the self-employed workers connected to the tourist services.
This company exports aseptic and concentrated mango pulps, aseptic banana and guava mashes, concentrated white grapefruit and sulfited papaya juices, MD-2 pineapple, Habanero Hot Pepper, fresh mango and charcoal.
