HAVANA, Cuba, Aug 19 (ACN) Omar Marrero, Cuban ambassador to Timor-Leste, held several working meetings with authorities from that Asian nation, in which they reviewed the existing potential between both countries.
In exchange with José Lucas do Carmo da Silva, Minister of Tourism, Trade and Industry, they reviewed the wide possibilities of cooperation in the three areas of competence of this body, reported Cubaminrex website.
They highlighted the excellent state of bilateral relations both at the political and cooperation levels, which in their opinion should also have an expression in the economic-commercial context.
Previously, Marrero spoke with Abrão Saldanha, Secretary of State for Youth and Sports, at which point they discussed the enormous potentialities of collaboration that exist in the field of sport, as well as the political will of both parties to advance in this field.
In 2012, a group of seven Cuban specialists confirmed the possibilities of the Timorese athletes and the opportunity to expose the international results of this Pacific island in the sports field.
