HAVANA, Cuba, July 29 (ACN) Cuban and foreign executives will create this Thursday the Ron Vigia S.A. Joint Venture, under the sponsorship of the AZCUBA Sugar Group.
The constitution of the new entity will be between representatives of Island Rum and ZERUS, the AZCUBA share holder, informed the Cuban News Agency Yilena Fernandez Mulet, head of institutional communication of the latter group in Havana.
The meeting is expected to be attended by Norwegian and Spanish businessmen and representatives of the Cuban Institute of Sugar Cane Derivatives and the Enrique Varona Base Business Unit of the Ciego de Avila Sugar Company, a province located some 420 kilometers east of Havana.
Ron Vigia is a Gran Añejo with a genuine Cuban rum flavor, made from sugar cane honeys and aged in selected white oak, with a unique bouquet and presence for demanding tastes, according to experts in the field.
Its qualities are guaranteed by a strict quality system, a limited production of 4,500 numbered bottles per year, and carefully cared for by lovers of excellence.
The rum takes its name from the residence of Ernest Hemingway (1899-1961) in San Francisco de Paula, Havana, and as a symbol the personal coat of arms of the famous American writer and journalist, who appreciated the benefits of Cuban rum.
