HAVANA, Cuba, August 4 (ACN) Cuba's cultural institutions are organizing the Fidel is Cuba Day event to commemorate the upcoming anniversary of the birth of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, according to Prensa Latina.
A variety of activities will take place from August 7 to 23, commemorating the August 13 anniversary.
The event will include cultural events in different venues throughout Havana, such as Balear Center and Mariana de Gonitch Singing Academy.The Fidel Castro Ruz Center and the Cuban Export and Import Services Company are also participating.
The event will also commemorate Vilma Espin (1930-2007) and singer Rita Montaner (1900-1958).The 5th edition of the Por siempre Vilma Interpretation Contest will be held on August 21 and 22.
The Fidel is Cuba Conference was conceived by Hugo Osle with the support of different cultural institutions, and the initiative is one of the annual tributes to the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution.
The program includes multiple cultural activities all over Havana.
