HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 26 (ACN) The exhibition Entre el mito y el arte [Between myth and art], a sample of Chinese ceramics belonging to Havana’s National Museum of Decorative Arts (MNAD), was inaugurated in honor of the Lunar New Year 2025 (Year of the Snake), one of the most important traditional festivals in the world.
Hua Xin, ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Cuba, expressed his desire to strengthen friendship and bilateral cooperation between the two countries, which established diplomatic relations 64 years ago.
MNAD director Yosvanis Fornaris, curator of the exhibition, highlighted the role played by Chinese immigrants, who fought both in the mambi independence war and the revolutionary struggle of the 20th century.
Established on July 24, 1964, the MNAD boasts several pieces of high artistic and historic value, in addition to the island’s largest collection of Chinese art.
