HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 8 (ACN) The 28th International Ballet Festival of Havana "Alicia Alonso" (FIBHAA) will resume its program this Saturday at the Marti and National Theaters, after the passage of Hurricane Rafael through western Cuba.
According to the Communications Department of the National Ballet of Cuba (BNC), host of the event, as a result of the impact of the meteorological phenomenon, the last three performances of the Festival were rescheduled for November 9 and 10.
Thanks to the collaboration for the first time of the Festival Habana Clasica with the FIBHAA, other musicians such as pianists Marcos Madrigal, Daniela Rivero and Nikolay Shugaev, on the cello in "The Death of the Swan" will be on stage.
The dance event will close on Sunday, November 10, at the Avellaneda Hall of the National Theater.
The "Alicia Alonso" International Ballet Festival of Havana, which has been taking place since October 28, has welcomed artists from some 15 countries, belonging to prestigious national and foreign companies.
Its program included a season of the classic "Swan Lake", a tribute to Argentine dancer Julio Bocca, current director of the Colon Theater in Buenos Aires, and a gala dedicated to the 10th Congress of the Cuban Writers and Artists Association, among other outstanding shows.
