HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 10 (ACN) The Empresa de Grabaciones y Ediciones Musicales (EGREM) published a list of events scheduled for 2024, which marks the entity’s 60th anniversary.
On June 21 to 23, Havana will host the International Meeting of Collectors and Music Lovers, who will enjoy talks, lectures and workshops given by virtuous musicians and exhibitions of CDs, DVDs, phonograph records, USBs, musical instruments, catalogs, books, scores and other products of the music industry.
In August, Cuba's main beach resort will be the venue of Varadero Josone Rumba, Jazz and Son Music, an event bound to assemble Cuban and foreign artists devoted to popular and urban music, whereas the International Meeting of Sound Professionals, dedicated to Mexico, will be held on October 15 to 17 with renowned regional and foreign sound experts.
On December 13 to 15, the city of Trinidad will host the 2nd Canchánchara, Tradition and Culture Festival, which will be dedicated to Italy, Mexico and Spain and be attended by artists from those countries.
Likewise, EGREM envisages major conferences such as Havana World Music (March 21-23) and “Un puente hacia La Habana” [A bridge to Havana] (April 26-28), as well as the Meeting of Businesswomen and Women Entrepreneurs in November, aimed at promoting women-led entrepreneurship in the cultural industry and sharing experiences among Cuban and foreign experts.
