HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 21 (ACN) The Havana headquarters of the Alliance Française de Cuba, located in the neighborhood of Vedado, is keeping open the registration period for intensive training courses, which will run until the 24th of the current month.
Marie-Hèléne Miekin, pedagogical director of that institution, told the Cuban News Agency that the five- or six-week courses, depending on the levels, were designed for those seeking a quick immersion in the French language.
She pointed out that it is a privilege for Cuban students and teachers to approach the center in order to discover the language and culture of that European country, through its cultural and educational program that provides the best initiatives to continue the link with the Caribbean island.
On her part, Leysa Buides, coordinator of the lective program for adolescents of the Alliance Française de Cuba, emphasized the holding of the next session of international tests for young people who study in the courses "Let's sing and play in French", and all those who wish to obtain international certification.
At the same time, Alexandre Guillochon, director of the entity, highlighted as main missions that undertake the Alliance, the diffusion of the language in question, the support to its study in the country and the proliferation of the French cultures in dialogue with the Cuban ones.
These missions are developed with the support of the Embassy of that nation to the Caribbean country, he added.
