Cuban coffee, a distinctive feature of the national culture



 HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 21 (ACN) As a result of the recently concluded 39th edition of the Havana International Coffee Fair (FIHAV 2023), different companies that attended the event described Cuban coffee as an identifying feature of the national culture.

Salvador Garcia Martin, legal advisor of the trading company CIMEX Mariel S.A., told the Cuban News Agency that FIHAV 2023 allowed them to expand their client portfolio globally through the marketing and diffusion of the popular bean.

Garcia Martin explained that the company he represents in the Mariel Special Development Zone is dedicated to the production of the Cubita and Caracolillo brands for Cuba and the world.

He pointed out that the main objective of the final edition of the commercial event was to attract clients, mainly from Europe and Asia, as they are markets anxious to know the Cuban culture and coffee as a distinctive feature of the Caribbean people.

The Fair gave the different economic actors the opportunity to present their brands and defend the national identity in the midst of an adverse scenario due to the tightening of unilateral measures imposed on Cuba by the U.S. government, he added.

CIMEX Mariel S.A. offers services of logistics operations, gastronomy and fuel sales to the users of the Mariel Special Development Zone.

FIVAH 2023, which was held at the Expocuba fairgrounds between November 6 and 11, reaffirmed its condition as the main commercial exchange in Cuba, the Caribbean and one of the most representative in Latin America.
