Iconic Cuban actress received National Television Award

 

HAVANA, Cuba, Oct 24 (ACN) The renowned Cuban actress Natasha Diaz received today the National Award of Cuban Television (TVC), at the Jose Marti Memorial, in Havana.

Natasha Diaz said that this recognition is the result of effort, perseverance, passion for daily work and represents encouragement to continue growing and developing in the world of culture, so she does not rule out other projects.

She also thanked those who have accompanied her in this trajectory since 1969, when she began her professional artistic trajectory, to date.

During the ceremony, the "Pequeña Pantalla" awards were also presented to Hilda Cardenas Conyedo, Raul Alfonso Pedraza, Misladys Zamora Olivera, Alberto Delfin Taibo Gonzalez, Yadel Pelaez Castillo, Jose Manuel (Pepe) Mejias, Marino Luzardo and Rolando Almirante.

Jose Ramon Artigas, National Television Award and president of the Jury, acknowledged that in the colleagues who received the award, the hard work of TVC is recognized.

The Television Awards are presented in the context of the 73rd anniversary of the official founding of TVC, which is celebrated this October 24, as well as the 170th anniversary of the birth of Jose Marti, Cuba's National Hero.

The ceremony was attended by Ines Maria Chapman Waugh, deputy prime minister of the Republic of Cuba; Joel Suarez Pelle, deputy head of the ideological department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba; Ricardo Ronquillo Bello, president of the Cuban Journalists Association, Alfonso Noya Martinez, president of the Institute of Information and Social Communication, and other personalities of the Cuban culture.
