Iberoarte International Crafts Fair concluded in Cuba

HOLGUIN, Cuba, Nov 21 (ACN) The Iberoarte 2022 International Crafts Fair, sponsored by the Cuban Fund for Cultural Goods (FCBC) in the province, concluded on Sunday in Holguin(eastern Cuba) with the closing of the exhibition and commercial activities.

The awards were given at the Bariay Cultural Center, with the Iberoarte 2022 Grand Prize going to the project "Alma de araña artesana"(Artisan Spider Soul), by Holguin-born Yanelis Esquijarosa Bradelo, for her mastery in the execution of the manual technique, the significance and beauty of her message.

Also awarded were "Los libros más pequeños del mundo" (The Smallest Books in the World), by Peruvian Luis Alberto Ñañez, in the Best Stand category; and a mention for the project "Jaboneria Artesanal Ana Mari" (Ana Mari Handmade Soap Factory), by Holguin-born Domitila Isabel and Ana Mari.

The award for Best Work of Art went to "Retablo", by the Ore family from Peru, while in the Goldsmith category it was awarded to "Ari Joyería(Ari Jewelry)", by Colombian Jaime Ariel Paez.

In Textile Confections, the award went to "Gabys Bazar", by Dulce Maria Gomez, from Ecuador; and in Dolls, "Muñecas Bartalemi", by Mayda Bartelemi, from Guantanamo.

Likewise, in the Textile Manifestations section, the award for Best Fashion Show went to the "Cubania" collection by Maria del Carmen Aguilera; and the Mention went to "Son de Cuba"(Son from Cuba), by renowned designer Jordi Leal, from Havana.

On this occasion, the Iberoarte fair celebrated its 20th anniversary and was dedicated to Peru, with the participation of more than 50 artists from this country.

Creators from Guatemala, Panama, Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Spain and Chile also took part, as well as the Dominican Republic, Russia and Holland.
