SANTA CLARA, Cuba, Nov 16 (ACN) The 39th Winter Film Festival, dedicated to women in cinema and to the 50th anniversary of the premiere of the film Girón, opened its doors in this city with the screening of Cuban filmmaker Gloria Rolando’s documentary Diálogo con mi abuela [Talking with my grandmother].
The jury is made up of director Manuel Herrera—2022 National Film Award winner—actress Eslinda Nuñez and animation movie producer Aramís Acosta.
As a forum for screenings and literary presentations, the Winter Festivals have provided a framework to promote exchange among filmmakers through debates, lectures, workshops and community outreach activities.
