HAVANA, Cuba, Apr 21 (ACN) The publishing house Ciencias Médicas (ECIMED) of the National Center for Medical Sciences Information will present several titles at the 30th Havana International Book Fair.
Held at the San Carlos de La Cabaña Historic Military Park and in the city's Historic Center, this great cultural event is dedicated to the 140th anniversary of the publication of the poetry book Ismaelillo, by National Hero José Martí, and the novel Cecilia Valdés o La Loma del Ángel, by Cirilo Villaverde, as well as to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Cuban poets Carilda Oliver Labra and Jesús Orta Ruiz (Indio Naborí) and to the 120th anniversary of the birth of Nicolás Guillén.
Other presentations will take place at the Main Lecture Hall of the San Jeronimo University, at the Cuban Association of the United Nations and at the San Carlos de la Cabaña Fortress, including books on topics such as surgery, ophthalmology, pediatrics and obstetrics by renowned Cuban doctors and medical organizations.
