HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 18 (ACN) A group of Cuban musicians has joined the initiative of several international artists to give online concerts in order to spread a hopeful message to the millions of people around the world who are left at home with the advance of the new COVID-19.
The Cuban ministry of culture announced on March 13 that as part of the measures to prevent and confront the new coronavirus in the country, national and international artistic events were postponed until further notice to avoid crowds and thus fight its spread.
In line with the ministerial decision and in search of continuing to bring art to the world population in these difficult times, Cuban renowned singers will perform this Wednesday and Thursday concerts from 6 pm and throughout the night through Instagram Live and Facebook Live.
The idea of these online performances arose from the global cancellation of cultural events as part of the prevention measures against COVID-19, in order to encourage people to stay in quarantine at home.
Many have already been enjoying, through social media and platforms such as YouTube, the performances of international artists such as Alejandro Sanz, Juanes, Jorge Drexler, among others.
