HAVANA, Cuba, May 10 (ACN) Miguel Diaz-Canel, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and president of the country, arrived today in the homeland after concluding his working visit to Russia.
The president was received at the Jose Marti International Airport in Havana by members of the Political Bureau Manuel Marrero Cruz, Prime Minister, and Roberto Morales Ojeda, Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the PCC, announced on X the Presidency.
Diaz-Canel left Russia after his participation at the Parade for the 79th anniversary of the victory against fascism, where he accompanied his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin with whom he held a friendly exchange on Thursday.
Before arriving in Cuba, the head of state made a brief stop in Algeria, where he conveyed a warm message to President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and the commitment to continue strengthening ties.
