Cuba opens its first Correos de Cuba commercial management center

HOLGUIN, Cuba, Jan 26 (ACN) The commercial and business management center of the Empresa de Correos( Cuba Post Office), the first of its kind in Cuba, was opened in the eastern province of Holguin, where it will offer different services and promote the work of the new economic actors in the region.

Pablo Julio Pla Feria, president of Correos de Cuba Business Group, explained on Thursday at the opening ceremony that the project achieves the effective linking of the socialist state enterprise and private management forms by integrating in a single establishment the institution's own services complemented with what is contributed by that society.

The initiative of the territorial division demonstrates its progress and commitment with the fulfillment of the current regulatory framework that allows the establishment of such alliances for the benefit of all parties, which represents an incentive to replicate it in the remaining provinces, he said.

Yoandri Zaldivar Caballero, general manager of the entity in the territory, pointed out that in the process of creating this unit participates the MSME Galas Fenix SURL, dedicated to gastronomy, which established its offices in the same premises where the management center is located and thus strengthens its linkage.

Among its main services are the special DHL and EMS courier services, international and national, respectively, the marketing of goods online to the population and by economic contract to both state entities and individuals, as well as advertising and printing services, among others, he added.

The executive explained that customers can acquire the offers of their choice through electronic payment by the existing digital payment channels, which facilitates monetary exchange and favors the development of the process of bankarization that the country is going through.
