Havana, Dec 9 (ACN) Cuba’s Communist Party First Secretary and President of Cuba Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez is presiding over the 5th Plenary Session of the Central Committee of Cuba’s Communist Party underway Friday and Saturday at Havana’s Conventions Palace.
Debates are focusing on issues of crucial significance for Cuban society, including the guidelines of the 8th Congress of the political organization and the consideration of inefficiencies and difficulties prevailing in the work of the party.
The plenary session will propose a series of measures to face the current panorama of the country in the social-economic and ideological-political area, as well as ideas to organize the 2nd National Conference of the Cuban Communist Party.
