Havana, Dec 30 (ACN) Russia’s Vladimir Putin congratulated Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel, Army General Raul Castro and the people of Cuba for the 63rd anniversary of the triumph of the Socialist Revolution to be marked January 1st.
According to the Cuban Foreign Ministry, Putin wished happy year’s end festivities and prosperity for the year 2022 for the Cuban people and he went on to stressed the development of bilateral relations between Moscow and Havana calling it an Integral Strategic Association.
Moscow and Havana are currently expanding promising bilateral projects in areas such as science, economy, technology and trade, said Putting and expressed his will to keep working with Cuba in issues contained on the bilateral and international agendas in the benefit of the two nations.
Other congratulation messages came from countries and organizations friends of the island, like the Egypt-Cuba Friendship Association which also passed its letter on the anniversary and condemning the US hostile policy against the Cuban people. “We reiterate our solidarity with the people of Cuba in the defense of their decisions and those of their independent and sovereign state,” read the message addressed to Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel.
Similarly, the government of Yemen sent a message marking the anniversary of the Cuban Revolution. Yemen’s ambassador in Havana Mohamed Saleh Nasher acknowledged the efforts by the Cuban people to overcome the challenges posed during 2021 marked by the pandemic and the strengthening of US coercive measures against the island nation.
The diplomat said that Yemen will continue to support Cuba next year against any new challenges and will jointly celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral relations.
