HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 30 (acn) Bruno Rodriuez, Cuba´s Minister of Foreign Affairs, highlighted the medical solidarity of his country with Dominica, after the arrival of a health brigade to the sister nation to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The Cuban FM ratified on Twitter the ties that unite both governments and the commitment to combat SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, cause of the pandemic that plagues the world.
To date, Cuba has sent health brigades to 13 countries, including Italy and Andorra, in Europe; in addition to Jamaica, Antigua and Barbuda, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Haiti, Saint Lucia, Granada and Belize.
The majority of those health workers are members of the Henry Reeve International Contingent of Doctors Specialized in Disaster Situations and Serious Epidemics, created on September 19, 2005 by the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, in order to assist any nation in the world.
