HAVANA, Cuba, Apr 23 (ACN) Cuban cyclist Arlenis Sierra finished 69th place in the last of the spring classic events, namely the 142.8-kilometer-long Liège-Bastogne-Liège race held in Belgium by 140 athletes from 24 teams.
Sierra crossed the finish 14:55 minutes behind the winner, the Dutch Demi Vollering, who clocked 3:50:47 hours.
The Cuban rider's team Movistar has not fared well lately, although it is showing signs of improvement.
In addition to Sierra—America's top road cyclist—Movistar featured the Dutch Van Vleuten—the best in the world—and the German champion Lippert, as well as the Serbian champion Jelena Erić, the Colombian climber Paula Patiño, and the versatile Dutch Floortje Mackaij.
