Bill Clinton Favors Cuba-US Reestablishment of Diplomatic Relations

HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 11 (acn) Former US President Bill Clinton described as positive the recent reestablishment of diplomatic relations between Washington and Havana.

In statements to PL news agency in Panama, Clinton said he considered it something good and everyone in this hemisphere should work together for freedom and prosperity and to take advantage of common opportunities.

The 42nd US president visited the Penonome Laudato Si wind farm in the central Panamanian province of Cocle, 150 kilometers east to the capital Panama City, a renewable energy project considered to be the largest in Central America due to its power output.

The project was supported by the Clinton Foundation on the basis of promoting clean energy, said Rolando Gonzalez, who heads Inter-Energy Holdgins, the main investor at the plant.

Clinton said that Cuba can do as Panama is doing and stop importing energy, since it only needs investment, something that favors economy and future relations with the United States.
