Cuba-US bilateral commission to hold second sessionHAVANA, Cuba, Nov 6 (acn) The Cuba-US Bilateral Commission, set up after the reestablishment of bilateral relations, will hold its second session on November 10 in Washington.

The meeting will consider the agenda agreed to by the sides during the first session, held September 11 in Havana, as well as the results obtained thus far and the complex issues pending for solution, including the lifting of the US economic, commercial and financial blockade of Cuba.

The delegations of both countries will be headed by the general director of the United States Division at Cuba´s Foreign Ministry and on the US side by Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs Eduard Alex Lee.

The Bilateral Commission is expected to define new steps over the next months including possible accords for mutual benefit, technical meetings in areas of common interest, exchanges on multilateral and bilateral issues and high-level visits, among others as part of the process aimed at the normalization of relations between Cuba and the United States.
