Cuba and the U.S. to Continue Talks on Civil Aviation

HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 30 (acn) Governmental delegations of Cuba and the United States held technical talks in this capital on services of civil aviation, with a view to establishing regular flights between the two nations.

The meeting, held on Monday and Tuesday of this week, took place in a respectful, professional and constructive atmosphere, reported the website of the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The parties discussed issues related to air transport, safe operations and aviation security, and other issues of mutual interest.
Both delegations agreed on the importance of continuing these exchanges, adds the Cubaminrex note.
These talks at a technical level are part of a new stage of relations between Havana and Washington, after the reestablishment of diplomatic relations on July 20 and of the creation of a Bilateral Permanent Working Commission a few weeks ago to progress in the normalization of relations between the two countries.
