HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 29 (acn) The Forecast Center of the Institute of Meteorology reported the following notice of the tropical cyclone number three.
Tropical Storm Joaquín
The conditions have become more favorable today in the upper atmosphere, so the eleventh tropical depression has intensified up to become into Tropical Storm Joaquin.
At 11.00 p.m. its center was located at 26.7 degrees north latitude and 70.4 degrees west longitude, position that places at about 645 kilometers northeast of the central Bahamas.
Its maximum sustained winds are of 65 kph and the central pressure is 1002 hPa. It moves slowly southwest at about 7 kph.
Over the next 12 to 24 hours it will move westward with little change in intensity.
The next weather report on this system will be issued at six pm today.
