HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 26 (ACN) The Chilean Solidarity-with-Cuba Movement expressed in Santiago de Chile its support of Cuba's pro-tempore chairing in 2013 of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC).
In statements to PL news agency, activist Pedro Bronzic announced a demonstration Monday, January 28, in the Italia square to support Cuba, which will take on the chair of the regional bloc during its First Summit in the Chilean capital.
"Many Chileans will be there to back Cuba and its Revolution and to salute the Cuban leading role of the bloc," said Bronzic as he was attending the People's Summit, a forum underway in Santiago de Chile with the attendance of representatives of 400 social organizations from Latin America, Europe and the Caribbean.
Cuba is an example of solidarity and it has been the beam of light of regional integration efforts being promoted by the CELAC," said the activist.
