Seventh Summit of the Americas Winds up in Panama
HAVANA, Cuba, Apr 12 (acn) Panamanian President Juan Carlos Varela closed on Saturday the 7th Summit of the Americas, a historic meeting that marked the definitive entry of Cuba into these meetings and served as scenario for the first meeting between the presidents of Cuba and the United States. The Summit ended after Varela’s announcement that the next one will be held in Lima, Peru, on a date yet to be defined.
"It has been a historic Summit; wed have lived very important moments; I congratulate participating governments," declared the Panamanian head of state.
