Havana, May 14 (ACN) Nicaragua’s government strongly condemned on Wednesday Washington’s inclusion of Cuba on its list of states allegedly sponsoring terrorism by calling it unjustifiable and another fact proving the escalation of hatred against the island nation.
In an official message, Managua said that the blacklisting of Cuba is a sample of avenge against a people who, over the past six decades has proven its strength, integrity, braveness and heroism in the face of all forms of imperialist perversion.
The message stressed the brotherhood linking sovereign and irreversible revolutions, PL wire service reported from the Nicaraguan capital.
On Tuesday, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez denounced the Washington’s doble standard after having included again Cuba on its list of countries which do not fully cooperate with counterterrorism, a designation Nicaraguan authorities described as “fraudulent.”
Rodriguez said that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who is well known for lying to justify his measures against the Cuban people, ordered the re-inclusion of Cuba on the list of countries which do not cooperate with US anti-terrorist efforts.
In 2024, US intelligence agencies presented evidence proving all the contrary with respect to the US allegations, the Cuban minister wrote on X.
The Cuban government official also questioned the US government’s inaction against those who organize, fund and carry out terrorist acts against Cuba from US territory.
