HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 6 (acn) Representatives of rural governments from the Ecuadorian province of Pichincha will travel to Cuba next week to take a fist-hand look at social and community projects, public and people´s power management.
Cuban diplomat in Ecuador Indira Napoles told reporters that the delegation includes 40 members of the National Council of Local Rural Governments. They will stay on the island from March 9 to 17 on the invitation of the Cuban Friendship Institute.
The Ecuadorian government leaders already met with Cuban ambassador to Quito Jorge Rodriguez, who briefed them on the work of the people´s power on the island and on the ongoing process to reestablish of diplomatic relations between Cuba and the United States.
Council president Gabriel Noroña expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to learn experiences from Cuba during the coming trip.
