Havana, Jan 24 (ACN) Organizations and entities from several countries of the world reiterated their support of Cuba against its relisting as a state sponsor of terrorism by the US Donald Trump administration.
The spokesperson and general director of the Information and Communication Department of China’s Communist Party Central Committee, Hu Zhaoming, reiterated his solidarity with the Caribbean island nation and called on the US to listen to the claim of the international community in favor of justice, lift the blockade against Cuba and take it out of its blacklist; he urged Washington to stop raising hurdles against the island’s social and economic development.
Hu Zhaoming recalled that the over-60-year US blockade has inflicted serious hardship on the Cuban people and noted that China consistently opposes such unilateral coercive measures.
Meanwhile, France’s cooperation associations also dubbed the US’s blacklisting of Cuba an infamous, arbitrary and inconsistent the decision by US President Donald Trump.
Representatives of solidarity organizations like Cuba Si France, France Cuba, Cuba Linda and Cuba Coopération France (CubaCoop) denounced that the recent US measure aims at tightening hostility against the island along the blockade imposed on the Cuban people for so many years.
On Monday, January 20, just after few hours since taking power US President Donald Trump reverted the decision of his predecessor Joe Biden to remove Cuba from the List of States Sponsors of Terrorism.
