HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 13 (ACN) A meeting of the Executive Committee of the World Peace Council (WPC) held in Katmandu, Nepal and attended by Fernando González, president of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), condemned the U.S. blockade of Cuba and the inclusion of the island in the list of state sponsors of terrorism.
The participants, including the WPC president, secretary-general and executive secretary, expressed their solidarity with Cuba in view of the damages caused by recent weather events and their recognition and support of the Cuban people, González remarked.
He also pointed out that the meeting decried in strong terms Israel's genocide in the Palestinian territories and attacks against Lebanon, Syria and Iran.
The Cuban Hero met as well with leaders of political, youth and student organizations and with members of Cuba solidarity groups in Nepal.
