Cuban Deputy Premier Meets with Chinese Officials in Beijing

 Havana, Jul 15 (ACN) Cuban deputy Prime Minister Jorge Luis Tapia is meeting a tight working agenda in China where he has met with Luo Zhaohui, president of that nation’s International Development and Cooperation Agency (CIDCA).

Tapia also met with Han Jun, secretary of the Group of the Party at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and also with Wang Shouwen, deputy Trade Minister, according to the Cuban Foreign Ministry.

In all these meetings, the Cuban government official corroborated the excellent state of bilateral relations and the will to keep strengthening such links.

The Cuban delegation headed by Tapia met with experts from China’s Academy of Agricultural Sciences and centers dedicated to fowl raising, egg and pork production.

Tapia ratified Cuba’s support of China’s global initiatives aimed at fostering the development of the Global South and he thanked the important donations of rice and money as well as the solidarity given by the sister People’s Republic of China.

The Cuban deputy Premier headed a delegation to the Second High-Level Meeting of the Global Action Forum for Shared Development, which invited representatives from 50 nations during sessions July 11-13.
