Spanish Activists Ship Medical Aid to Cuba

Havana, Jul 8 (ACN) The Spain-based “Miguel Hernandez” Solidarity-with-Cuba Association has sent a medica aid shipment for Havana’s National Institute of Angiology and Vascular Surgery.

The cargo, valued at 100 thousand Euros was coordinated by Doctor Jose Ignacio Fernandez with Spanish health workers’ unions in the San Juan de Alicante and Villajoyosa hospitals, according to the Cuban Foreign Ministry.

Association president Jesus Gil said the shipment is part of their struggle to denounce the US blockade of the island nation, a policy he described as genocide-oriented since it aims at inflicting hunger and shortages to the Cuban people.
