HAVANA, Cuba, Jun 14 (ACN) The Center for Cuban Studies based in Brooklyn, New York, asked President Joe Biden to exclude Cuba from the State Department's list of State Sponsors of Terrorism.
President Biden can, with the stroke of a pen, remove Cuba from the State Department's list of State Sponsors of Terrorism and he should do so, the organization stated in a statement published by the foreign ministry on X.
It added that this unilateral policy was part of Trump's ignorant attempt to prove that his hundreds of executive decrees against Cuba were justified. Anyone who knows something about Cuba is aware that Cuba does not belong on this list, it said.
The Center pointed out that putting Cuba on the list is causing immeasurable harm to ordinary Cubans that must stop.
With more than five decades of creation, the Center is a non-profit institution dedicated to preserving, developing and spreading Cuban culture and contributing to the normalization of relations between the United States and Cuba.
