HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 12 (acn) The new Cuban ambassador to the Dominican Republic, Carlos De la Nuez said that his agenda prioritizes the strengthening of bilateral relations with Santo Domingo.
The diplomat made his statement during an interview with the local Hoy newspaper and added that the Dominican Republic is the only country in the region that has no commercial accords with Cuba.
Bilateral relations have also been at good levels and all we can do is working towards their development, said the ambassador, who visited Hoy newspaper on Thursday, where he exchange views with its chief editor Nelson Marrero.
During the interview, the Cuban diplomat insisted in the need to develop cultural and commercial relations and also expressed his country´s willingness to assist the Dominican Republic in whatever is possible.
