HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 2 (acn) Cuban charge d´ affairs in Russia, Natacha Diaz, presented the island´s child education program and its meeting of the Conventions of the Right of the Child during a forum at Moscow´s University of Arts.
The Cuban diplomat explained about the comprehensive characteristics of the "Educate your Child" program which involves entities from the ministries of health, education, the food industry and the family as the key factor in the development of children.
Thanks to this program, Cuba has achieved results that have been acknowledged by the UN Children Fund, despite the hostile international situation and the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed on the island by the United States over the past 50 years, the diplomat noted, according to a report by the Cuban embassy in Moscow.
Preparing and educating the future generations to build a better world on the basis of humanistic values and principles; guaranteeing the means for the children and youths to enjoy a happy life and encouraging sports, cultural and scientific capacities are major objectives for Cuba in working with children.
