Cuba and Portugal Boost Joint Actions against Drug Traffic

HAVANA, Cuba, Oct 23 (acn) in a meeting between a Cuban diplomat and a Portuguese official both countries agreed to keep bilateral exchange related to a joint cooperation accord to fight illegal traffic of drugs and psycho-tropical substances.

The accord was signed on July 8, 1998 in Havana, according to the diplomatic delegation, headed by Cuban ambassador to Lisbon Johana Tablada, who met on the issue with Portuguese internal administration minister Miguel Macedo.

During the talks, the Cuban diplomat addressed several aspects linked to her country´s actions against drug traffic and other international crimes.

The Portuguese minister expressed his willingness to keep advancing joint projects, while the two parties said they expected to keep strengthening bilateral relations.
