HAVANA, Cuba, Jun 30 (acn) Cuba added the title to the already won WC ticket in the NORCECA Boy's U19 Volleyball Championship when defeating USA in the final at the Sports City Coliseum, in this city.
In match of unbeaten and owners of the two berths in dispute to the 2017 WC, Cubans and Americans, silver and gold medalists in Tulsa 2014, in that order, starred a game that lived up than expected by experts.
In a really hard-fought match, the local side managed to win 3-2 (22-25, 25-21, 25-19, 23-25 and 15-11).
The top scorer of the match was Cuban José Carlos Romero with 31 points, 25 spikes, five in blocking and one ace, supported by Cristian Rojas, with 22 units.
